Kang Jianfei’s Experimental Exhibition opens in Shanghai

Kang Jianfei graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1997 and won the highest award at the graduation exhibition. He has remained at the academy as a teacher ever since. His artistic research spans over twenty years and maintains a "self-experimental" attitude. He believes that the primary task of an artist is to deal with the interactive relationship between the artist's identity and the artistic medium, and this relationship determines an artist's artistic attitude. Eleven years ago, the YIBO Gallery held an exhibition titled "Art as Media/Kang Jianfei Exhibition," and now, eleven years later, Kang Jianfei returns to YIBO Gallery’s space in M50 with his latest experiments.
