President of the TAYLOR Foundation Visits the Central Academy of Fine Arts

On January 21, 2026, Lin Mao, President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), met with Jean-François Larrieu, President of the TAYLOR Foundation, and his delegation. The two sides engaged in in-depth and productive discussions on promoting mutual artistic understanding between China and France and advancing institutional collaboration. They explored potential cooperation in areas including joint curatorial projects, artist residencies, academic exchange, and public art initiatives.

President Lin Mao warmly welcomed Mr. Larrieu and his delegation. He noted that China and France share a long-standing tradition of cultural dialogue and broad prospects for cooperation in the arts. As an institution committed to openness and inclusivity, CAFA has consistently worked to build international platforms for artistic exchange. The dialogue with the TAYLOR Foundation, he emphasized, represents an important opportunity to carry forward the artistic ties between China and France and to foster interaction in contemporary artistic practice. CAFA looks forward to working closely with the Foundation through exhibitions, research programs, and educational initiatives to strengthen connectivity between the two artistic ecosystems and promote shared development.

Mr. Larrieu expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and spoke highly of CAFA’s achievements in contemporary art and art education in China. He emphasized that the TAYLOR Foundation has long valued the cross-border vitality and social significance of art, and places great importance on collaboration with leading Chinese art institutions. During the visit, he was deeply impressed by CAFA’s open approach and professional vision in international exchange. The Foundation stands ready to work with CAFA to develop sustainable mechanisms for Sino-French artistic exchange and to bring collaborative projects to fruition, providing artists from both countries with broader platforms for exhibition, dialogue, and creation, and enabling art to serve as a dynamic bridge between Chinese and French culture and the wider public.

The meeting was accompanied by Wang Chuan, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at CAFA, and Yang Xi, Deputy Director of the Office.
