On November 5, 2024, Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the French Institute and Cultural Ambassador of France, along with Emmanuel Tibloux, President of the National School of Decorative Arts in France, and Nicolas Pillerel, Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy in China, visited the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). President Lin Mao held talks with the delegation, focusing on deepening Sino-French cooperation in art education and cultural exchange.
President Lin Mao extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation, recalling the long history and fruitful achievements of Sino-French exchanges in the fields of art and culture. He noted that mutual inspiration and integration in the arts between China and France have enriched the cultural heritage of both nations and contributed to the diversity of world art. He expressed the hope for future collaborations with France, including joint exhibitions, exchange programs for faculty and students, and other artistic exchange projects, to further enhance Sino-French cooperation in arts and culture.
Eva Nguyen Binh expressed her heartfelt gratitude for CAFA's warm reception. She highlighted the deep-rooted history of artistic exchange and cooperation between China and France, emphasizing that this meeting provided an excellent opportunity to further expand and deepen collaboration. She expressed her willingness to actively promote cooperation in art exhibitions and artwork exchanges, aiming to create more opportunities for Chinese and French artists to display their work and engage in dialogue.
Emmanuel Tibloux also expressed enthusiasm for collaboration, stating that the National School of Decorative Arts is very willing to work with CAFA on art exhibitions and exchanges of works. He emphasized that, through joint efforts, the two sides can elevate Sino-French exchanges and cooperation in the field of art to new heights.
After the meeting, Museum Director Jin Jun accompanied the delegation on a tour of the museum. Wang Chuan, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Jin Jun, Director of the Museum, and Hao Ninghui, Dean of the School of Design, also attended the meeting.
