On October 18, 2024, Professor Elisabetta Magnaghi, Vice President of KEDGE Business School in France, and her delegation visited the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). Xu Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee of CAFA, received the guests and held in-depth discussions on topics including discipline development, deepening cooperation, and Sino-French cultural and artistic exchanges. The meeting was attended by Fu Yijing, Director of the CAFA Office, Yu Ding, Dean of the Sino-French Institute of Arts and Design Management (hereinafter referred to as the "Sino-French Institute"), Wang Ke, Deputy Dean of the Sino-French Institute, Prof. Jean-François Vergnaud, French representative of the Sino-French Institute, Mr. Alain-James Palisse, French Administrative Representative of the Sino-French Institute, and Mr. Julien Saint-Sevin, Director of the French Office of the Sino-French Institute.
Secretary Xu Yang warmly welcomed the delegation from KEDGE Business School and highly praised the fruitful results achieved through five years of close collaboration between the two institutions. He expressed gratitude for the dedication and tireless efforts of the French team at the Sino-French Institute. As the first Sino-foreign cooperative institution in an arts academy approved by the Ministry of Education, the Sino-French Institute is a significant achievement commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. He noted that 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of these diplomatic relations. As the largest global base for training talent in arts and design management, the Sino-French Institute holds great promise. Both parties should continue to deepen their cooperation, achieving new breakthroughs in academic research, teaching innovation, platform development, and international exchange. This will strengthen the outcomes of Sino-French collaboration and provide a broader platform for cultural integration and mutual learning between the two nations. It will also contribute to the cultural prosperity of both countries and provide talent reserves for China's high-quality development in the new era.
