On April 8th, a signing ceremony was held at The High School Affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) between the school and the EU-China Youth Culture and Arts Development Committee. The ceremony was attended by several officials from both sides, including the Party Secretary and President of the school, Tingting Diao, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, Junjuan Zhang, Vice President Xiaowei Wang, the Secretary-General of the EU-China Youth Culture and Arts Development Committee, Zimu Chen, the President of Arts² Ecole Supérieure des Arts de Mons, Michel Stockhem, and heads of various functional departments. The ceremony was presided over by Fantao Kong, Director of the Youth Arts Education Center.

Tingting Diao mentioned in her speech that The High School Affiliated to CAFA has been committed to cultivating outstanding students with international perspectives and artistic creativity. As the first art school member in the Chinese region of the CHINA-EU Art Education Alliance, it has opened a new chapter for CHINA-EU educational cooperation. In the current era of iterative development of artificial intelligence and digital technology, world art education is at a critical juncture where opportunities and challenges coexist. Having an international perspective is crucial for the in-depth development and expansion of art education. The High School Affiliated to CAFA aims to keep pace with the changing trends in global education by enhancing interactive collaboration and exploration in international youth art education aimed towards the future. They hope to share development opportunities through cooperation in order to provide broader learning spaces and exchange platforms for teachers and students, thereby promoting the development and transformation of youth art education and facilitating the exchange and dissemination of cultural diversity.

Zimu Chen stated that exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe in the fields of culture, art, and education are becoming increasingly close. As a permanent project under the framework of supporting the China-EU high-level people-to-people dialogue mechanism, the establishment of the CHINA-EU Art Education Alliance initiated by the EU-China Youth Culture and Arts Development Committee not only provides a platform for both sides to carry out in-depth artistic education cooperation but also builds bridges for understanding and friendship between the two peoples. As a leader in the basic education of Chinese fine arts, The High School Affiliated to CAFA not only plays an important role in the intersection and collision of Sino-European art education concepts but also showcases the excellent achievements of Chinese fine arts education to the world.

Michel Stockhem expressed that Belgium, as the "heart of Europe", has significant influence in Europe. Both sides have different educational philosophies and ways of thinking, but through the CHINA-EU Art Education Alliance, schools on both sides can understand and learn from each other. They can also carry out bilateral inter-school exchanges, teacher exchanges, and student exchanges. Arts² Ecole Supérieure des Arts de Mons looks forward to The High School Affiliated to CAFA bringing more Chinese fine arts education concepts to the Alliance colleges and providing more ideas for artistic education cooperation between China and Belgium.

The signing of this cooperation agreement lays a solid foundation for establishing long-term, multi-form exchange and cooperation mechanisms between the two sides in terms of inter-school, faculty, and student exchanges. It also provides effective guarantees and convenience for the sharing of resources between The High School Affiliated to CAFA and European art education, further promoting joint exploration and development in the field of art education between China and Europe.
