On March 20, 2024, Ms. Marta Betanzos, the Spanish Ambassador to China, and her delegation visited the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where they held discussions with the President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Lin Mao, regarding cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the West, as well as future cooperation opportunities.
President Lin Mao extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador and her delegation, expressing a desire to establish collaborative relationships with art schools and institutions, including the Prado Museum in Spain, to promote deeper cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the West, thereby serving as a bridge for cultural and artistic exchange.
Ambassador Marta Betanzos expressed sincere gratitude for the reception at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. She noted that in recent years, the Spanish Embassy in China and the Central Academy of Fine Arts have been seeking opportunities for cooperation. She hoped that this visit would provide a solid foundation for cooperation in cultural exchanges between China and the West, injecting new vitality into cultural and artistic exchanges between the two regions.
