Ph.D., Associate Professor at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). Marco Chan is a member of the International HCI Committee, the Technical Committee on Visualization and Visual Analytics of the China Society of Image and Graphics, Chairman of the ChinaVis 2024 Art Project, the Network Technology and Intelligent Media Design Committee, and the Color Education Committee of the China Fashion Color Association. Additionally, he is the Vice President of the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Beijing Universities. He previously served as the Art Director of the Olympic Art Research Center at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
He has participated in numerous design projects, including the design of the "Orchid Award" logo for the international dissemination of Chinese culture, the poster design for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, the torch relay landscape design, core graphic design, image and landscape development design, the color system design for the 2011 Shenzhen Universiade, and the website design for the National Art Museum of China.
He primarily teaches courses in interaction design, kinetic typography design, information design, and open-source programming. His major papers and publications include "The Disappearing Boundary", "Video Games under Interaction Design", "Dynamic Typography with Interactive Behavior", "Research on Interaction Design Methods Based on the Internet of Things", "From 'Fear of Being Invisible' to 'Fear of Being Seen': Trends in Interface Design" and "Constructing Controllable Virtual Worlds."
